Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a general term for a range of diseases that affect the heart and blood vessels, including but not limited to coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, stroke, and hypertension. Statistics from the World Health Organization (WHO) show that approximately 20 million people currently die from CVDs globally each year. In order to intervene more effectively to halt or reverse the progression of CVD, a better understanding of the complex underlying pathology of CVD is first needed. Our company provides animal models for CVD. These models are essential for improving our understanding of both physiology and CVD development in humans.
